Privacy policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
Mechaghost LLC (“Mechaghost”, “we”) is a creative studio based in Seattle, Washington, United States. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit mechaghost.com, play Mecha Drive on Android, or contact us.
For support or privacy questions, email support@mechaghost.com. This mailbox is monitored by human support staff.
The short version
- The studio website has no accounts, advertising or analytics tracking.
- Mecha Drive needs no game account. Progress, settings and personal bests are saved locally. Purchase-enabled versions offer a one-time Remove all ads purchase; ad-enabled versions show occasional ads outside driving.
- Mecha Drive sends technical diagnostics to Unity to help investigate crashes, errors and performance problems. Local saves do not mean no data is collected.
- We do not sell personal information. Ad-enabled versions can share information for advertising as described below, with optional personalization.
- You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your information.
The website
Web requests include technical information such as your IP address, browser type and requested page. Railway hosts the site and may process this information in service logs to operate and protect its infrastructure. Google Fonts supplies our typefaces; your browser sends Google technical request information when loading those fonts. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.
Email and support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message, name, attachments or other information you choose to include. We use this information to reply, investigate your issue and maintain the support conversation. Please do not send passwords, payment card details or unrelated sensitive information. We will not ask for passwords or payment card details.
Google Workspace hosts our email. We also use OpenAI tools connected to the support mailbox to help prepare answers and notify the studio owner about support emails through the studio owner’s ChatGPT account. OpenAI may process message contents and related information for that assistance. Support context may also be retained in conversations, files or enabled memory; those copies have separate retention and deletion controls. We have turned off ChatGPT’s setting that allows new conversations to improve its models. We require applicable permission before including personal support content in AI assistance. Humans monitor the mailbox.
We keep messages for as long as needed for support or business records. You can request deletion; we will explain any lawful reason that requires retention. Our email retention does not establish the retention period for copies processed by other providers. See Google's privacy policy and OpenAI's privacy policy.
Mecha Drive on Android
Local progress
You can play without creating or signing into a game account. Progress, settings and personal bests are stored on your device; we do not receive those saved records through a game account or cloud-save service. You can reset progress in Settings → Saved data. Android may manage copies through device backup or transfer settings, including Google backup services. Those copies can include progress, settings and app identifiers. We do not operate that backup service. Resetting progress in the game does not instruct Google to delete a device backup.
Purchases and restoration
Purchase-enabled Android builds offer Remove all ads as a one-time purchase, without a subscription, through Google Play and Unity In-App Purchasing. Google handles payment; the game does not receive your payment-card details or password. Use the same Google Play account to restore a purchase after reinstalling or on another Android device. Purchases do not transfer between storefronts.
The game keeps a local purchase receipt and ownership record to restore the benefit offline. Unity's purchase SDK processes purchase events, product and transaction information, installation and session identifiers, app/device information and country information. We send denied consent signals for optional purchase analytics and advertising use before connecting the purchase SDK. Required purchase processing still occurs; this is not a switch for the separate diagnostics described below. We operate no custom purchase server or game login.
For purchase-data access or deletion requests, contact support@mechaghost.com with your store, app version, installation ID and, if available, order number. Do not send passwords, card details or raw receipts. We can forward requests for data processed on our behalf to Unity at unity-iap-contact@unity3d.com. Unity handles requests about its own processing directly through that address. Google handles its store records under its own policy. Local reset or uninstall does not delete provider records, cancel ownership or request a refund.
Unity documents retention of purchase records until deletion is requested and 90 days for service logs; legal obligations can affect deletion. These periods do not describe Google records or our support correspondence. See Unity IAP privacy information and Google's privacy policy.
Advertising and optional personalization
In ad-enabled versions, Settings → Privacy & support lets you allow or decline personalized ads from Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads. Ads are non-personalized by default. Declining personalization preserves access to driving and still allows occasional non-personalized ads. Their advertising services can process device and advertising identifiers, service user identifiers, IP address and approximate location, app/device information, diagnostics, purchase-related information and ad interactions to deliver and personalize ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. See Unity's game-player privacy policy for its processing, sharing, retention and privacy choices.
You can withdraw personalization permission in the same Settings page. The game discards prepared ads and uses non-personalized ads for subsequent requests; an already displayed ad may still need to be closed. Non-personalized ads still use data for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Withdrawal does not delete information already sent to a provider. Buying Remove all ads removes advertising. This choice is separate from purchase processing and technical diagnostics.
After an ad is displayed, the game retains details of that one ad on your device: time, app version, placement, network and any available creative reference. Settings lets you copy these details or open an editable email draft to support. Opening a draft does not send a report. Sending it uses the support process above; do not include unrelated personal information.
Technical diagnostics
Mecha Drive uses Unity Diagnostics to investigate crashes, errors and performance problems and improve reliability. Reports can include crash and exception logs, diagnostic and performance information, app version and scene information, device hardware, operating system, language and display details, and installation and session identifiers. Network requests also expose an IP address to the recipient, from which country-level location may be inferred. Collection is automatic; the game does not offer a diagnostic opt-out. The separate gameplay Analytics SDK is disabled; technical telemetry is still collected.
Unity receives this information through its cloud services. The current project settings enable essential and additional recommended data. In addition to providing our Unity services, the settings permit Unity technical-support access, business recommendations, features using aggregated cross-developer information, and aggregate contributions to benchmarks, trends and machine-learning models. Unity documents that the cross-developer features do not expose raw or identifiable developer data to other developers. We have not enabled the Diagnostics data-access option for Unity Ads or linked Firebase Analytics to the project.
Unity documents a default retention period of 90 days for personal diagnostic data. That is not a promise that every copy, export or aggregate is deleted within 90 days. We retain studio diagnostic exports only while needed for an open investigation or request, then delete them within 30 days after closure unless a recorded legal obligation requires longer retention. Information you send us by email, including a report or installation ID, follows the support-message retention policy above.
To request access to or deletion of diagnostic information, email us and include the installation ID shown in Settings → Privacy & support. You can use Copy installation ID to copy it. We use that ID to locate information and make the appropriate request to Unity. Resetting progress or removing the app does not delete reports already sent to Unity. There is no game account to delete.
This section describes the Android game. It does not describe the separate browser demo hosted on mechadrive.games. Other games and versions need their own applicable disclosures before release.
Service providers and security
We use the providers named above to host the website, supply fonts, deliver email and process diagnostics, purchases and advertising. They receive the information needed for those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Access to support and diagnostic information is limited to authorized staff and service providers who need it for those purposes. Unity documents encrypted transmission for diagnostic reports. Google Workspace encrypts stored email and uses transport encryption; email between providers depends on their support for that encryption. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Stores
Google Play, Apple and other stores handle their own account, distribution and payment services under their privacy policies. Any store reports available to us are separate from the game's local saves. We do not receive payment card details. Purchase-enabled Mecha Drive builds use the storefront's payment and refund services; its privacy policy and terms apply to that processing.
Children
Mecha Drive is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and request its correction or deletion at support@mechaghost.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your request, such as confirming control of the email address involved or providing your installation ID for a diagnostic request. We will explain any lawful reason that prevents us from fulfilling a request.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local privacy authority. We respect applicable rights.
Where information is processed
Mechaghost is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
Changes
We will post updates on this page when our data practices change and update the date above.
